WEiI at the 15th Mielec Science and Technology Festival
Prof. D.Sc.. Eng. Jacek Kluska from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at Rzeszów University of Technology was one of the speakers at the 15th Mielec Festival of Science and Technology, held from 3 to 15 April 2025.

During his lecture entitled “Artificial Intelligence as an Accelerator and Foundation of Modern Technologies,” the Professor presented the fundamentals of contemporary artificial intelligence (AI), including issues related to machine learning, deep neural networks, and optimization theory. He illustrated how AI accelerates the development of modern technologies in fields such as biomedical engineering, energy systems, smart materials, and autonomous systems, referring to the latest research published, among others, in journals such as Nature and Science. The Professor also discussed the integration of AI with other breakthrough technologies, including quantum computing, the Internet of Things, and robotics, presenting concrete examples. Special attention was devoted to the role of artificial intelligence in the automation of scientific discovery, while also highlighting challenges related to interpretability (XAI), stability, and ethics. He also outlined a vision of the future in which AI becomes an integral element of next-generation industrial and scientific infrastructure.
