The Mars rover Legendary III, developed by students from the Legendary Rover Team at Rzeszów University of Technology, won first place at the University Rover Challenge (URC), held for the ninth time on the American desert in the state of Utah.
A total of 23 teams from around the world participated in the competition, including 5 teams from Poland. Five challenges were held during the event. The team from Rzeszów proved unbeatable. In the individual tasks, the RUT students scored 459.8 points out of a possible 500.
The winning team consisted of students from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Aeronautics and the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, including: Wojciech Gołąbek, Magdalena Kluz, Piotr Czachor, Filip Nycz, Łukasz Bereś, Michał Kieś, Sebastian Halota, Remigiusz Laszczak, Paweł Grad, Paweł Bola, Grzegorz Szpyra, Wojciech Łabuński, Radosław Gancarz, Paweł Mielniczek, Przemysław Michałowicz, Paulina Biedka, Arkadiusz Wyłupek, Łukasz Paradyło, Łukasz Pelikan, and Arkadiusz Wyłupek.
